Server-side Protection

An SSL certificate is a security mechanism that is installed on the server to secure a domain (and sub-domains) and the services associated with the domain.

It is a “certificate” that confirms that the domain is a valid domain, checking that any data transactions utilising or being sent via the domain are valid, encrypting the data (eg: emails, credit card numbers, usernames, passwords etc.) and securing them against being stolen or tampered with by hackers and identity thieves.

SSL Certificates are bought and renewed annually. They come in the 3 levels of security, chosen based on the security requirements of the client and installed by us on the server for the client.

Your-side Protection

Antivirus software is installed directly on your PC, laptop or device to protect your devices as a user connected to the internet from potential viruses, malware etc.

Antivirus software has evolved from detecting and removing computer viruses to providing protection from other computer threats eg: malicious browser helper objects, browser hijackers, ransomware, keyloggers, backdoors, rootkits, trojan horses, worms, malicious LSPs, dialers, fraudtools, adware, spyware, infected and malicious URLs, spam, scam and phishing attacks, online identity (privacy), online banking attacks, social engineering techniques, advanced persistent threat and botnet attacks.

Antivirus protection is bought as licenses – one license per device, and is billed and renewed annually.

Your Website Security

Website security has different aspects to consider, most of them not very obvious to the non-web developer.

Websites that are built using a CMS platform like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal etc and especially those that are e-commerce enabled require a high level of security to be set on the website to ensure the website and its data it stored is protected from hackers, bots and spammers.

Themes, modules, plugins, components, extensions and the database should be secured.

We offer an initial security assessment and setup, a monthly billed service to keep your website up to date, backups and free security sweeps of the websites and server to ensure that no websites or additional services have been compromised.
